School chair of adjustable size is designated for students of grades from 1 to 4 whose height is from 950 mm to 1550 mm. The chair shall be adjustable to sizes (2to 4) as established by the European standard ENV 1729-1:2001 (or equivalent). The chair shall be double sloped for seating in front part of the chair with foots lowered to the ground, or using the end part with foots on the footrest.
School chair shall have a metal framework covered by powder painting (colour to be agreed with the client). The chair shall have a footrest. All the parts that will be touched by the student sitting on the chair shall have no splinters, sharp edges, or open-ended pipes. The supports (legs) of the chair shall not scratch or stain the floor; metal parts o the frame shall not touch the floor. Technological cavities of a diameter larger than 7 mm shall be covered. The chair shall be designed to prevent children from getting hurt by cutting; separate parts of the chair shall be removable only with a special tool. The user shall be able to easily adjust the height of the chair. The design ensures that the movable and adjustable parts never get loose thus injuring a user.
