the surveyor considers the damages possibly caused by inherent vice due to the nature of goods being exposed to a prolonged storage and/or variations in the humidity inside the reefer containers at port of destination.
the temperature recorders of the 3 containers indicated normal temperatures corresponding to the established set temperatures of -3℃indicated on the ocean bills of lading, except for the first 4/5 days of recording.
the established time period for performing customes clearance procedures was exceeded therefore the customs authorities retained both containers.
