Top 10 Fashion retailers in Belgium
In Belgium the first place is still taken by fashion retailer and family-run company C&A, founded in 1841 by brothers Clemens and August Brenninkmeijer. Unfortunately the most recent data concerning the turnover are from 2012, as the company has not published anything since. Most of the time that is not considered to be a good sign. It is very likely that they are experiencing tough competition from (new) fashion-chains like H&M, Inditex and Primark. H&M, headquartered in Sweden, takes second position with 86 stores and a turnover of almost 400 million euro’s. Spanish Inditex with brandstores like Zara, Bershka, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius and Pull & Bear is on the third place. Their estimated turnover is 275 million euro’s from 72 shops.
