Tanalith ‘E’ treated – Tanalith E is added to the wood to increase its fitness for purpose. It is the latest chemical treatment on the market and will become the new standard legislation as from next year. It is ecologically friendlier than its predecessors and its benefits exceed beyond those of the rest. Vacuum/pressure treated with Tanalith E preservative (with optional extras including Tanalith Extra water repellent, or Tanatone Colour addictive) and conforming to the efficacy requirements of BS EN 599-1:1997 and treated in accordance with the penetration and retention guidance given in BS EN 351-1: 1996 to give the desired service life in the selected hazard class as defined in BS EN 335-1:1992.
Following treatment, any areas of timber affected by cross cuts, holes, notches etc. are brushed with Ensele or other approved end grain preserve. |
